Through maintaining mental health and well-being, I help people reach their personal and professional goals. I help people find balance in their life, maintain a healthy lifestyle while increasing productivity and staying focused, and support them in setting and achieving realistic goals. I offer coaching in person or over the phone.

WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching is the practice of directing, instructing, and motivating with the aim of setting and achieving goals. Coaching can be conducted in person or over the phone. Coaching is concrete, future-oriented, and focused. It is not used to diagnose or treat mental illness or emotional instability. Coaching is typically not insight-oriented, and it does not focus on any psychological or emotional symptoms.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT I NEED?

Choosing whether you need therapy or Psychotherapy coaching can be straightforward or complicated. It really depends on what your goals are and how you want to achieve them. If you do not know if you would prefer to engage in therapy or coaching, we will talk over the phone to determine which one would be best for you.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF IT IS WORKING?

It is important to evaluate on a regular basis whether therapy or Psychotherapy coaching is effective. If things are progressing, you may subjectively feel better or have a sense of relief, you may be more hopeful, your relationships may be healthier, you may have a better understanding of yourself, and/or are achieving the specific goals you set for yourself. As you are human, you may be ambivalent about the process and its effectiveness, and you will run into obstacles and setbacks whether you are in therapy or going through coaching, so it is important to explore/ determine what is holding you back and try to work through it. Through therapy or coaching, I will help you explore this.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

For Psychotherapy coaching, this depends on what goals you want to achieve. Through coaching, and as your coach, I will help you to set realistic goals so that you can make progress in the time frame you want. You may reach simple goals in a relatively short time and bigger goals over a number of months.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

For Psychotherapy coaching, we can set an amount you feel comfortable paying and how frequently you want to meet. This most importantly depends on how quickly you achieve your goals and your own level of motivation.

My therapy practice is located in Cheshire, Connecticut. My patients mainly come from Cheshire, Prospect, Hamden, Meriden, Wallingford, Southington, Middletown, North Haven and New Haven.
